Platforms+ is a mechanism for scaling PACE support, beyond the focal states of Kano, Kaduna, and Jigawa to other Nigerian states.
It works through national, regional, and issue-based platforms such as ALGON, NGF, and NESG to share lessons, transfer knowledge, and connect states to reform and investment opportunities. Platforms+ also provides targeted, time-bound support to selected states as demonstration cases for catalysing governance and climate reforms.
The Platforms+ delivery structure operates through three mutually reinforcing pathways:
Strengthening platforms
Partnering with national and regional platforms like ALGON and NGF to scale reforms.
Supporting states
Providing demand-led support to states ready for governance or climate action.
Reform enablers
Promoting peer learning and reform diffusion across states and global partners.
How does it work?
Platforms+ connects reform opportunities through:
Spotting green growth and climate finance opportunities across Nigeria.
Responding to direct requests from states and platforms on governance and climate.
Based on a careful reform readiness assessment and available implementation opportunities, a tiered engagement approach is activated and deployed for partners, within the limits of resource constraints.
Targeted collaborations with platforms such as the NESG, NGF, ALGON, and others to deliver results quickly.
