US$139.4M in Indicative Investment Commitments Secured

The Jigawa State Economic and Investment Summit (J-INVEST 2026), convened by Governor Umar Namadi on 1–2 July 2026, secured indicative investment commitments of US$139.4 million across priority sectors, including agribusiness, renewable energy, and the Dutse International Hotel and Conference Centre. The summit strengthened investor confidence, facilitated high-level public–private engagement, and reinforced Jigawa’s position as an attractive destination for sustainable investment with potential for to create jobs, enhance productivity, and accelerate economic diversification. The summit also marked important policy and institutional milestones, including the launch of the Jigawa State Climate Change Policy, the presentation of the State’s Investment Certificate by the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), and the showcase of Carbon Assets Ltd. E-Mobility Project.

The launch of the State Climate Change Policy, the presentation of the State’s Investment Certificate by the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC), and the business-enabling environment showcased during the summit collectively strengthened investor confidence and positioned the State as an attractive destination for sustainable investment.

Through PACE’s technical assistance, the State Investment Promotion Agency received strategic guidance and capacity support throughout the planning, coordination, and execution of the summit. This support contributed to the successful delivery of the event and enhanced the State’s ability to engage prospective investors and promote its investment opportunities effectively.
