Leveraging nearly a decade of FCDO’s support to local governance reforms, PACE facilitated the update of the Local Government Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability (LFTAS) Framework and collaborated with other FCDO programmes to help Kaduna State achieve key indicators under the HOPE Programme, strengthening fiscal discipline and service delivery across all tiers of government. These efforts are part of a broader commitment to openness that has once again positioned Kaduna as Nigeria’s most transparent and accountable state, topping the 2025 Transparency and Integrity Index (TII) released by the Centre for Fiscal Transparency and Public Integrity (CeFTPI). Kaduna retained its No. 1 national ranking for the second consecutive year with a score of 49.08%, outperforming all other states with the highest national score (80%) in the Control of Corruption variable.
